Said Farah Duale gradated in 1982 from the Somali National University, Faculty of Geology in Mogadishu (Somalia). Worked as a Hydro Geologist at Mogadishu Water Expansion Project Phase I & II contracted to Alexander Gibb and partners in East Africa. Said received several Labour Law Certificates at Canadian Education Center, Ontario, Canada in 1992 – 2001. He also graduated from Seneca College, Toronto, Canada obtaining a certificate of Paralegal in 1996. He was elected as Union Representative for Workers at Nestle Canada in 2005- 2017.
Said dealt all the issues arising from workplace included but not limited to:
- Bargaining and negotiation with the company the collective agreement.
- Grievances
- Arbitration and mediation cases.
- Deputation.
- Workers compensation case tribunal.
He was in 2004-2012 appointed as member of the Board of Referees, by the Canadian Labour Congress; Toronto, Canada. The Board of Referees consists of three panel members, the Chair who is a political appointee by the Ministry of Human Resources while one member is appointed by the Chamber of Commerce and the 3rd is appointed by the Canadian Labour Congress.
The Board of Referees is a small workers Tribunal that hears the appeal of the workers who got their entitlement of Employment benefits rejected by the Canadian Human Resource Ministry.
Said held the position of Secretary General of Somali Basketball Federation in 2011-2015 representing the Federal Republic of Somalia.
In 2017 he joined the Duale Law and Consultancy firm and he is the expert of international and national labour laws.
In 2023 Said graduated from the Somali National University obtaining the Higher Diploma in Laws and joined the Hirshabelle Lawyers Association in 2024.
